The North Harcourt-Sedgwick Landcare group was among the first 20 landcare groups established in Victoria, forming in 1988. Covering approximately 12,500 hectares, the region sits in Central Victoria, 20 kilometres south of Bendigo.

The group has sponsored tree planting work, collected locally indigenous seed for re-vegetation, fostered networking and shared learning, and assisted landholders with tree growing, vermin and weed control, water catchments and biodiversity.

Following a hiatus of several years, the group relaunched in late 2019, with a focus on community and shared learning. Current projects include tree planting, nature walks, building nest boxes and property advice for residents.
